Sunday- Bergensbanen trip

Today we spent almost the entire day on the train to Bergen known as the Bergensbanen “one of the most spectacular train rides in all of Europe”. This was an amazing engineering feat completed in 1909. 300 miles long; peaks at an Alaskan altitude of 4,266’ it includes traveling under 18 miles of snow sheds, over 300 bridges and passes through 200 tunnels. Bev, I believe this is the same train we took in the spring of 2007 during a snowstorm.

The city of  Bergen, it is bustling with tourists, a far cry from our time here Easter weekend 2007!
