Monday - the Fjords

We left Bergen this morning in our rental car and headed to Flam, a 3 hr drive. In Flam we boarded a cruise to see the Naeroyfjord, a UNESCO world heritage site. This is what we came for, and it did not disappoint! This is the world’s narrowest ( 820 ft across). We passed numerous beautiful waterfalls. The depth of the fjords match the heights nearly 4,586 is the highest.

Our drive from Bergen

One of many waterfalls

One of the little villages along the way

Kjelfossen- one of the top 20 highest free flying waterfalls in the world, more than 2300 feet.

Our stop in Gudvangen before returning to Flam.
Tonight we are staying in an old historic hotel in Stalheim
The view from our room!
I have somewhat neglected our wonderful meals, so here you go, tonight I had cod and Rob had mussels, and a lot of them!
